Is 30 mins of early park entry worth it?

Let's talk early park entry! This perk is reserved for guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Hotels. Guests are able to enter 30 minutes prior to the posted park opening time. Doesn't sound like much, and I was skeptical until I experienced it!

We visited the week prior to Christmas so crowds were already picking up for the holiday! We stayed at the Grand Californian Resort & Spa.

The posted park opening time was 8am. We left our hotel room at 7am and the park gates opened at 7:20am. Everyone ( including offsite guests) entered at that time and made their way up Main Street and were stopped by the rope. In front of The Plaza there was a check in desk where we scanned our hotel room key. By doing so, we were able to go beyond the rope. It was quite the site being on that side looking back at the crowds eager for rope drop!

We headed to Fantasyland and rode ALL of the attractions here in less than 30 mins. After that we headed over to Space Mountain and rode three times, then headed to It's a Small World Holiday and then to Haunted Mansion. ALL of those attractions in just over an hour! It was such a treat even to just walk and feel like a lone person in the park!

So... to answer my own question "Is 30 mins worth it?" I say YES!
