The big question everyone asks: When is the best time to Visit Disneyland?
If you’re planning on visiting Disneyland then it’s worth taking a look at when the best times are to visit.
While some love the hustle and bustle of crowds, you may want to visit the park when it’s quieter and there are shorter lines for attractions.
Choosing the best days to visit Disneyland will depend on what your goals are. If you want to ride every ride and see all the shows, you’ll probably want to choose the off-season when there are less crowds. However, if you like to travel in the summer, or you really love going to Disneyland for Halloween Time or for Christmas, you might need to change your expectations a bit. You probably won’t be able to ride everything, but you can take it easy and enjoy the magical atmosphere and yummy treats!
So when are the best times to visit if you want to avoid the crowds?
Low season is when there will be the least crowds. This is from mid-January to early February, late February through to mid-March and late April through to early May. Low season also includes early September through mid September, and early November.
Moderate season is when there are crowds, but not as many as the peak season.
This includes Valentine’s Week, mid-May through to late May, Late August through to the start of September, and weekdays in October and mid-December.
Peak season is when the park will be the most crowded.
This includes Easter, mid-March through to mid-April, June to mid-August, weekends in September and October (Halloween season) and the last week of October.
The park is also especially crowded over the Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year periods.
Also, if you’re planning a trip and want to avoid the crowds, it’s best to visit on weekdays, as locals and people with annual passes will typically visit on the weekend. Go on a weekday in September, the first week of October, or the last week of October to avoid the big Halloween season crowds. Mid-October can be very busy, with many schools out for fall break. Avoid weekends, especially Saturdays in October as well.
If you want to visit during Disney’s Halloween season, your best dates are between October 1-4 and for a Holiday trip, choose December 2-5.
If you want to avoid crowds and increased pricing all together for 2021, you may want to also consider making this the year you visit Walt Disney World in Florida. In regards to pricing, Canadians can make this trip at a very comparable cost. Want to see the comparison between Disneyland and Disney World? Request a no obligation quote today!
